TED brings ideas – ideas that ignite conversations, ideas that cater to change and ideas that transform the world. Technology, entertainment, and design come together to deliver these ideas to a global community. TEDx reflects the mission of its parent platform – “ideas worth spreading” and brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through its events. The speakers come from varied backgrounds, being educators themselves, social entrepreneurs, sports persons, policymakers, and leaders.

The first edition of TEDxVignansBoTreeSchool was organized on the 9th of February 2020 with the theme “Unorthodox Perspective.” The event aimed to give listeners an interesting new outlook on seemingly monotonous everyday things. TEDxVignansBoTreeSchool resumed the journey for its second season on the 18th of June 2022, with a promise of “Reversing the mainstream notions.” The talks intend to have the audience to question why the term ‘mainstream’ ever originated and how to question or challenge those “mainstream notions.”
