  1. Restoration of Old Annual Examination System by CBSE (Grade VI – X): CBSE has restored the Annual System of Evaluation from Grade VI to X. Under this pattern the students from Grade VI to X shall have Annual examination covering 100% Portion.

Final Evaluation will be based on Annual Examination (80 marks) & internal assessment (20 marks)

    1. Annual examination (weightage 80%) will be conducted covering the complete portion at the end of
      the year  where maximum marks will be 80 and students need to secure min 27 marks (33%) to pass.


  1. Internal assessment (weightage 20%) marks distribution will be as follows:

      (i)   Periodic Tests – 10%

3 periodic tests will be conducted in the full academic year for the students of Grade VI to VIII.

Bi -Monthly slip tests for 20 marks will be conducted for each subject, throughout the year for
Grade IX and X.

(ii)  Notebook maintenance – 5%

Before each monthly test, notebook maintenance can be evaluated based on the following
parameters –

  • Regularity
  • Assignment completion
  • Neatness & upkeep of notebooks

                (iii)  Subject Enrichment Activities – 5%

  • Languages: ASL/Reading/ Dictation/ Debate/Public Speaking etc.
  • Mathematics/Science/Social Science: Lab Activities/ Projects/ Map Work/ Model Making / Field trips etc.
