World One School celebrated its fifth Annual Day on Thursday the 25th January 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event.
Hon’ble Smt. Justice T. Rajani, Hon’ble Justice, High Court of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Dr Venu Gopala Reddy, MBBS, Dip Diab, Senior Consultant at VGR Hospital Vijayawada, alumni of Vignan schools and Shri Jagadeeswar Goud Corporator Madhapur GHMC were the guests of honour. Ms Rani Rudrama Devi, Vice Chairperson, Vignan group of Institutions presided over the function.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished guests. Master Shubo the Head Boy and Ms Sai Trisha Reddy, the Head Girl both of class X welcomed the guests.
Commodore C B Rao (Retd) principal presented the school’s Annual report for the previous academic year. He mentioned that last year seven out of 19 scored 10 CGPA and 100% pass. He has brought out about the No book days on Saturdays and how it is helping develop many important soft skills and also explained about the new projects that are taken up by the school. The principal told that the school cricket team stood second at a National level tournament held at Delhi where 18 teams from different states took part and stood first another tournament held at Goa. Class IX student Adhiti won many tournaments in Tennis at the National level.
This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony. The Hon’ble chief guest Smt Justice gave away the awards to the students who secured 10 GCPA in the last CBSE Board Exam. Dr Venugopala Reddy gave away trophies to the class toppers of the previous academic year for classes PP to IX wh Shri Jagadeeswar Gaud presented the awards to the best sports achievers.
Smt Justice Rajani in her address congratulated the students for their achievements and parents for choosing this school for their children which has such a wonderful campus and run by Vigan group which has values and ethics. Dr Venugopala Rao, an old student of Vignan in his address told that he is a son of a farmer with village background but he is a leading doctor today all because of Vignan. Shri Jagadeeswar Gaud praised the management for establishing a school such a huge campus and for its achievements in a short period.
The cultural programme commenced with the Ganesh Vandana presents by class 1 students and the rest of the cultural programme was based on the theme NAVRAS. Each of the dances depicted the nine aesthetics senses exhibited by human beings to express their emotions.
A vote of thanks was proposed by the head girl Ms Sai Trisha Reddy. She conveyed her sincere thanks to the chief guest, guests of honour and parents for sparing their attending the function sparing their precious time. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervour.
